About Vi Cà Phê

Our Story
Vi Cà Phê began with a simple, stubborn craving, for a really good Vietnamese iced coffee.
It started back in 2007, the founders of Vi moved to Birmingham. This city quickly became home in every way that matters, but there was always one small thing missing. Every trip back to Vietnam meant falling in love all over again with a proper iced coffee, bold, rich, impossibly smooth over ice on a hot afternoon. And every journey home came with the same quiet wish: to bring that feeling back too.
After almost twenty years of missing it, a sister and brother finally decided to stop wishing and start making.

What makes Vietnamese coffee so special?
If you've never tried it, you're in for something different. Vietnamese coffee is made with robusta beans rather than arabica, which gives it a bolder, richer character and that lovely deep, chocolatey kick. It's traditionally brewed slowly through a little metal filter called a phin, then served over ice with a touch of sweetness. Strong, smooth, and made for summer. It's a whole experience, not just a drink.

Coffee is where our story began but it isn't where it ends. Alongside our bottled coffees, we've created a range of refreshing yoghurt drinks that are beloved across Vietnam yet still relatively unknown here. Whether or not you're a coffee person, we hope there's something on our little menu you'll fall for.

Starting small, on purpose
We're just beginning and we want to do this properly. That means starting small, a limited number of bottles each day, so every single one is made fresh and made right before it reaches you. In these early days, we'll even be delivering personally around the city centre and surrounding areas, because we'd rather grow slowly and get it perfect than rush and get it wrong.

Come along for the ride
This is our labour of love and we'd be so grateful to share it with you. If you're curious to try something a little different this summer, we'd love to welcome you in right at the start.
